Beth Higgins graduated this year with a degree in Psychology on the same stage where both of her parents stood 29 years ago.

where she shared footage of all three ceremonies, her parents and her own. Her TikTok post, with an Abba soundtrack, fresh video and reminiscent footage, has been liked more than 20,000 times on the popular video-based social media platform.

Beth’s parents, Daniel Higgins and Helena Higgins graduated in Industrial Design and Technology in 1995.

Following Beth’s graduation, her mum searched for their university boxes and found their own graduation videos from 1995 which she hadn’t watched since. Helena also shared it with others on their course who they’re still in touch with, many of whom were unaware a video had been made.

Beth said:

It was oddly satisfying to walk across the same stage as both my parents, and I felt a true sense of accomplishment walking across the stage, especially when I looked out and I saw both mum and dad sat smiling at me.”

The video features a lovely image of Beth and her parents all together on campus for the 2024 summer graduation ceremony. A special moment for this Â鶹ֱ²¥ family.

Congratulations to Beth on her graduation.
