Global Community

For making a significant contribution to growing an inclusive community of students, staff, and alumni.

Winner: Xiyuan Tan

In their research Xiyuan has already established international links and is working on a funded research project with a Chinese institution. Their shared goal is reducing anxiety and rejection of new technology amongst ‘digital immigrants’ (people who have had to adapt to digital technologies rather than being born alongside it). Xiyuan also volunteers to host visiting academics to cement international bonds.
