Dr Chloe Blackwell

  • Research Associate

I first joined CRSP in 2018 as a PhD student where I contributed to the research centre’s Minimum Income Standard (MIS) research alongside my studies. Upon completion of my PhD thesis at the beginning of 2022, I joined CRSP as a full-time research associate. Recently, I have been involved in a project which draws upon the MIS methodology to explore a Minimum Digital Living Standard.

My PhD thesis, awarded in August 2022, explored the financial experiences of families raising children on the autism spectrum. The study drew on MIS methodology, and employed deliberative focus groups and family interviews to understand the required expenditures for an acceptable standard of living, as well as to explore societal and institutional impacts on families experiences of temporal, emotional and financial ‘cost’.
