Paddy graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2019 with a BSc in Sport and Exercise Sciences, completing a third-year dissertation project investigating the impact of post-training sauna bathing on heat acclimation in middle-distance runners. Alongside his PhD, Paddy coaches the Lightning Cycling Elite Development Team and riders in the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Cycling Academy, bridging the gap between research and practice.
Research
Starting at Â鶹ֱ²¥ University in 2019, Paddy's doctoral research is investigating the effect of low-intensity exercise duration on skeletal muscle signalling responses.
