Start preparing for study and complete your first Personal Best badge.

Ready Set Â鶹ֱ²¥ is our online programme helping you to transition into university after Results Day in August.

Highlighting opportunities to develop your skills and maximise the benefits from your time with us at university, it features 4 key areas of activity to best prepare you for life at Â鶹ֱ²¥:

Your Wellbeing – highlighting your wellbeing and the opportunities and services available to help you prioritise this during your time here.

Our Expectations of You – what we expect of our students as good Â鶹ֱ²¥ citizens, including important information and training.

Your Study Success – top tips, tools, and activities to help you to prepare for your studies at university.

Simply complete the activities across all 4 areas and you will be awarded your Ready Set Â鶹ֱ²¥ badge in our dedicated Personal Best app!

Get Ahead Together

Because we know that transitioning into life at university can sometimes feel overwhelming, we’ve created a brand-new, group peer mentoring programme to help you settle in, meet new people, and find an immediate support network among your peers.

Get Ahead Together offers you the opportunity to access 4 interactive group mentoring sessions on a range of themes in both Semester One and Two of your first year at university.

Semester One Sessions – These take place throughout October - December.

  • Finding a Job
  • Confidence and Handling Challenges

Semester Two Sessions – These take place throughout February – April.

  • Preparing for Success in Semester Two
  • Get Ready for your Year Out
  • How to Ace Essays or Reports
  • How to Skill Up on Studying

All sessions on this programme are co-designed and delivered by students for students, with the help of our Early Success Team.
