Wikithon: 'Old' and 'New' Â鶹ֱ²¥

An upcoming event at the Being Human Festival, organised by Dr Sara Read, Dr Catie Gill, and Dr Lise Jaillant, sets to invite Â鶹ֱ²¥ locals to connect with their past and neglected figures of the town’s history.

The Wikipedia edit-a-thon, taking place online on the 14th of November from 12:00 – 17:00, will showcase the importance of Wikipedia as a digital resource. Participants will learn about the Open Access movement and all about how to edit a Wikipedia entry. In the second part of the event, participants will be invited to produce a new page for Wikipedia about a figure associated with Â鶹ֱ²¥. The session will focus in particular on neglected women in Â鶹ֱ²¥’s history.
